JOB SUMMARY

The Social Media Manager is a dynamic role responsible for leading a team of digital content specialists to ensure cohesive and high-quality content across all social media platforms for The Abbi Agency and its clients. This role is critical in creating a collaborative and creative work environment, setting clear performance goals, and providing continuous training and development opportunities for team members. It requires strong leadership skills, creativity, organizational excellence, and a deep understanding of social media dynamics to drive engagement and support our clients’ digital presence. This is a full-time hybrid/remote position that reports directly to the Director of Marketing. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team to achieve high-quality content output, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations. Foster a positive work culture, encourage idea generation, and provide ongoing training and development.
  • Project Coordination: Conduct regular team meetings to discuss projects, address challenges, and celebrate successes. Ensure effective communication and coordination between team members and other departments to align content strategies with overall marketing objectives.
  • Task Delegation and Conflict Resolution: Delegate tasks effectively to balance workloads and ensure productivity. Handle conflict resolution and promote a respectful work culture.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain and optimize standard operating procedures for content creation and management to ensure consistency and efficiency. Act as a point of contact for escalated issues and provide solutions to ensure smooth team operations.
  • Trend Monitoring and Analytics: Monitor social media trends and competitive landscape changes. Use analytics tools to gauge campaign and content success and provide insights for improvement. 
  • Content Strategies & Development: Lead creation of content strategies that execute on the client’s goals, manage content calendars to ensure timely publication and adherence to brand voice and tone for all accounts. Create engaging and creative content for various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Community Management & Engagement: Manage the overall engagement strategy with followers, ensure the team is responding to queries in a timely manner, and foster a growth model for engagement. 
  • Communication: Prompt and daily communications and interactions with clients, internal team and all agency contacts. 
  • Influencer Relations: Monitor and evaluate influencer campaigns, develop and maintain an influencer database, and seek opportunities to expand the influencer network for The Abbi Agency.
  • Trend Monitoring and Analytics: Monitor social media trends and competitive landscape changes. Use analytics tools to gauge campaign and content success and provide insights for improvement.
  • Contesting: Research and selection of contesting tool, onboarding and process surrounding the use of the contesting tool. Ensure the team is adhering to all privacy requirements. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts for brands or agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and TikTok.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools such as Hootsuite, or similar.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret metrics related to social media engagement.
  • Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to use a higher production level camera, Nikon, Canon, etc. 
  • Experience in a digital marketing agency or similar fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Expertise in creating and executing successful social media strategies for a variety of clients.
  • Experience with influencer marketing, including developing and maintaining influencer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and content marketing principles.
  • Certification in social media management or related areas.
  • Located in the Las Vegas or Reno, Nevada markets.
