JOB SUMMARY 

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating, curating, and managing content across all social media platforms. This role is pivotal in enhancing brand engagement and driving social media initiatives that align with broader marketing strategies. The specialist will work under the Director of Marketing and contribute to the growth and success of our clients’ digital presence by producing high-quality content that resonates with targeted audiences. This is a hybrid/remote roll, but applicants must be located in the Las Vegas or Reno, Nevada markets. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement content plans that align with the agency and/or the client’s marketing strategies and campaign goals.
  • Create engaging and creative content for various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Monitor social media trends and tools for changes that affect our competitive landscape.
  • Use analytics tools to gauge the success of campaigns and content, and provide insights and strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and video producers to generate digital visuals and video content for the brands. 
  • Engage with followers and respond to queries in a timely manner to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure that the content is published by the deadline and adheres to the brand’s voice and tone.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and strategies to drive engagement.
  • Client communications and account management: Prompt and daily communications and interactions with clients.
  • Contesting platform management: Management and understanding of ShortStack, Offerpop and other contesting platforms as needed.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Ability to read and pull analytics as needed and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reports to clients.
  • Research: Research of trends, tools and campaigns through social and online media.
  • Planning: Planning for social media contests and campaigns, as well as ongoing social content strategy.
  • Campaign development: Creation and implementation of plans to integrate client campaigns across social media channels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience managing social media platforms in a professional capacity.
  • Strong communication, presentation, copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret metrics related to social media engagement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Located in the Reno or Las Vegas, Nevada Markets. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite
  • Graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in content marketing, SEO, and online community building.
  • Drone experience or a drone pilot’s license.
  • Ability to use a higher production level camera, Nikon, Canon, etc. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
