About the Role

We’re looking for a designer who thrives on versatility and loves the challenge of crafting impactful, cohesive design experiences. The Designer position is a multi-faceted role involved in brand design, web UX and UI. This position works closely with our Creative and Digital Experience teams and reports directly to the Creative Director. This role is at the heart of creating work with heart and meaning for our clients. You’ll collaborate with teams across disciplines to deliver designs that align with client goals, exceed expectations, and leave a lasting impression.

Who You Are

  • Cross-channel flexibility: Ability to execute detail-orientated designs from the conceptual phase to final production assets. Create assets for a wide range of mediums, including print and digital ads, social media graphics, websites and email.
  • Create high-quality design deliverables: Under guidance of Art and Creative Directors, produce a wide range of engaging designs, including: brand identity, campaign concepts, user flows, website mockups and design systems. You take an active role in ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company and client appropriately.
  • Be curious, collaborative, proactive: Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with the creative and internal teams, as well as clients, as requested. Participate in creative collaboration sessions and build solid relationships both with your creative and cross-functional teams to understand what a project needs and proactively move the work forward.
  • Design systems enthusiast: You’re familiar with using and contributing to design systems (brand guidelines, web style guides), ensuring consistency across projects. You’re excited to grow your skills in creating resources that drive consistency and scalability.
  • Passionate about the user: You can assist with user research, evaluate user feedback, and use the information to develop user personas and user flows. Upon evaluating user requirements in collaboration with the internal project team, you use this research to create high quality, brand-focused designs.
  • Team-Oriented Problem Solver: Whether brainstorming with teammates or tackling a challenge solo, you excel at crafting solutions that align with the brand and deliver results across all formats and channels. You actively contribute to the positive growth and collaborative culture of our creative team.

Your Minimum Qualifications

  • A strong portfolio of visual and web design work, and the ability to articulate how your work supports your team’s goals, the broader strategic vision and client objectives.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Zeplin, Miro, Google Workspace (G Suite).
  • 4+ years experience in graphic and visual design, including: creative concepting, brand identities, print and social graphics, web interfaces and landing pages.
  • Familiarity with the design to front-end development handoff process and the ability to create creative yet feasible web experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring definition to projects by focusing on broader objectives rather than fixed deliverables.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design and UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. 
  • Curiosity and the ability to pivot as new challenges and opportunities arise.
  • Solid verbal and presentation skills that convey your process, approach, and the impact of your designs.
  • Comfortable taking direction as well as working independently on research and execution.
  • Available during core business hours (M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time)

Extra Credit

  • Experience mentoring junior designers.
  • Familiarity with creating storyboards and/or shot lists for photo and video shoots.
  • Animation, motion design, and prototyping skills.
